Role:

The role of a classroom teacher encompasses two salary categories:
- range 1 and range 2. A primary focus is on designing and delivering educational programs to achieve specific student objectives. Emphasis is placed on self-improvement to better engage students and enhance their learning experiences.

As teachers progress, they extend their contributions to the school environment. All teachers may be assigned additional duties aligned with their qualifications and experience.


Classroom teacher Range 2:

Range 2 educators play a vital role in enhancing student performance and educational results based on school strategies and priorities, contributing to policy development and implementation.


A pivotal aspect of their role includes boosting staff knowledge on effective instruction strategies and student learning.


  • Range 2 educators are expected to:
  • Possess the expertise to meet diverse student needs
  • Demonstrate best practices and mentor other teachers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Offer guidance on content, processes, and strategies to drive professional growth
  • Oversee and train student teachers
  • Support staff in utilizing student data to enhance teaching strategies and achieve learning goals.
Classroom teacher Range 1:

Range 1 educators primarily focus on honing their skills to become effective classroom practitioners, receiving support and guidance from senior teachers while delivering tailored programs to achieve student outcomes.

They teach various students and classes while ensuring program effectiveness.

Range 1 teachers work under supervision within established guidelines and may supervise student teachers.


They engage in policy development, project teams, and extracurricular activities.


Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of a classroom teacher may involve:

  • Instructing groups and individual students;
  • Contributing to curriculum development and evaluation;
  • Fulfilling teaching and organizational duties as directed by the School Principal;
  • Engaging in events like parent/teacher meetings, staff gatherings, and outings;
  • Undertaking supervisory responsibilities beyond teaching.
