As the Release Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the release of software products and updates, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, quality assurance (QA), infrastructure, and operations, to plan, coordinate, and execute the release process.

Day to day focus of the role entails:
Release Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders, such as development teams, product managers, and quality assurance (QA) teams, to establish release objectives, timelines, and priorities.
Release Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination among various teams involved in the release process, such as development, QA, infrastructure, operations, and customer support.

Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with the release process, including assessing the impact of new features or updates, identifying potential issues or conflicts, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

Version Control: Oversee the version control process, ensuring that the correct versions of software components, libraries, and dependencies are included in the release.

Release Testing: Collaborate with QA teams to define and execute release testing strategies, including establishing test plans, test environments, and test data to validate the software's functionality, performance, and compatibility.

Deployment and Rollback: Coordinate the deployment of software releases to production environments, including the planning and executing deployment activities, monitoring the release progress, and ensuring the successful deployment of the software.

Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve the release process by gathering feedback, conducting retrospectives, and implementing process enhancements.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of release plans, procedures, and dependencies.
Skills & experience to propel your success in this role would include:
- Proven experience in Release Management or a similar role, preferably in a technology-driven and quality-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and quality assurance practices.
- Financial Services industry experience will be an added advantage in this role.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple releases concurrently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
- Knowledge of version control systems and software deployment processes.
- Experience with software testing and QA methodologies.
- Analytical and problemsolving mindset, with the ability to proactively identify and address potential issues or risks.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
