The company:

Your next employer is a national service based organisation with annual turnover exceeding $800m and close to 3,000 employees. They have recently merged with another business and have recently implemented a new Payroll/ T&A/ HRIS system.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is new to the payroll industry, or someone who would like a new challenge in their career. As they are pretty open minded with industry background.

The Role:

Ensure payments to employees and staff are made accurately and on time as per employment contracts, Awards and legislative requirements.
Interpret Industrial Agreements such as Awards, Certified Agreements, Letters of Appointment etc.
Managing payroll queries and escalate where required
Maintaining a structured approach and methodology around data checks and audit to ensure accuracy of payroll
Managing detailed payroll check lists and prepare for manager approval
Ensure maintenance of all relevant leave and overtime reports.
Managing new and existing processes and ensuring they are clearly documented
Accurate and timely completion of the Month End process and assisting with Year End process
All statutory payments being processed on time inclusive of Super and Payroll Tax payments, Child Support and Garnishments
Payroll reporting and assisting with system testing and new enhancements
A minimum of 2 years (or equivalent) demonstrated related experience in a similar position
A top tier payroll system experience
Time and Attendance system experience
Knowledge of legislative requirements in respect to PAYG, FBT, payroll tax and EEO principles.
