The Global Markets Chief Operating Office is responsible for the execution of a range of operational, strategic and business transformation initiatives.
Working closely with a range of Group and IB&M stakeholders, the Chief Operating Office focuses on enabling across the Markets business.
This includes risk and controls management, business change, prioritization and delivery of initiatives, and ongoing business improvementDo work that matters:
In this newly created role, you will be accountable for delivery of strategic technology change in Global Markets business across Fixed Income, Rates and Currency.
You will work with stakeholders of all levels of seniority across the Group as you assist in delivery of Global Markets strategy, whilst ensuring ongoing awareness and review of risks.
- Responsible as Product owner for delivery scrums in IB&M technology
- On daytoday basis lead the delivery team by providing business context, clarity and product vision
- Work with sales and trading business to capture business requirements, prioritise and relay them to technology development teams
- Maintain a well prioritised Backlog to deliver business and customer outcomes
- Manage senior business and technical stakeholders to ensure that prioritisation is well understood and agreed to
- Lead and develop product roadmap through engagement with senior stakeholders/business heads.
- Incorporate tools such as design thinking and analytics to feed into product development
- Release prototypes and iterate a product that meets customer needs and achieves the business goals
- Formulate hypotheses to validate customer problems and define clear learning objectives that will inform product roadmap and prioritisation decisions
- Accountable for addressing any impediments, driving decisions and resolve any conflicts
- Proactively identify, articulate and manage risks and compliance across your product
- Work with GM COO, Line 1 & Line 2 Risk teams and Compliance ensure adherence to Global Markets policies across platforms you are responsible for
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
- Previous experience as Product owner or Product Manager or Scrum master or Technical Analyst in Financial Markets technology delivery environment
- Experience with Murex is preferred
- Scrum Alliance certification such as CSPO or CSM are desirable
- Sound knowledge of financial markets especially Foreign exchange, Fixed Income & Rates
- Proven track record of delivery of large complex project is preferred
- Proven track record of collaboration across multiple teams
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Good understanding of trading platforms is preferred
- Minimum 5yr+ experience working in Agile delivery
