The Library is seeking to fill APS3 Imaging Officer vacancies in the Digitisation Projects Section of the Collaboration Branch. We will create a merit pool to fill vacancies as they arise across the section.


As an Imaging Officer in Digitisation Projects you will work as part of a flexible Imaging Team to undertake a varied range of imaging production tasks and projects for the Digitisation Projects and the Trove Community Services Sections.

Under the direction of the Imaging Team Leader, the work of the roles may include:

  • Scanning of Library collection material in various formats, including pictures, manuscripts, books and journals.
  • Quality assurance of digitised images.
  • Acquiring a basic knowledge of Library scanning equipment and troubleshooting issues.
  • Contributing to Community of Practice and knowledge sharing on the Library Digital Library Collection (DLC) and NCM (Newspaper Content Manager) programs.
- an understanding of the Digitisation Project Sections Image Capture Guidelines.
- an understanding of Care and Handling requirements for Library collection material.
- an awareness of the Library's Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) Guidelines.
