    Description

    Applications are sought for a position as Cardiology Registrar within the Cardiology team at Western Health.

    The Cardiology Department at Western Health focuses on diagnosing, intervening, and treating patients with cardiovascular disease at Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals. They conduct over 1000 PCIs annually and provide a busy acute STEMI service.

    Western Health Cardiology is dedicated to teaching, training, and research in affiliation with the University of Melbourne. Registrars are expected to actively participate in research projects and teaching activities. The department is involved in international multicentre randomized trials and independent research projects.

    The Cardiology Unit at Western Health is supported by a team of over 20 VMO Cardiologists, 2 Fellows, 5 Registrars, and HMOs.

    About the Role

    The Cardiology Registrar position is available from early February 2025 to February 2026 on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of Cardiology at Western Health including wards service, outpatients, Cardiac Diagnostics, and on-call duties.

    • Applicants must be eligible for registration with AHPRA.
