EL1 Media Manager position

6 week leave cover position no extension
Sydney or Canberra location supported

The Opportunity:

You will be joining a small Government agency with powerful reach across Australia, in the Health portfolio.

This is a 6-week position to cover a leave period, and there is no option for extension at this time.

This position may be offered in either Canberra or Sydney.

Work from home options are available, with the expectation that you will be in the office 50% of the work week.

Key duties will include:

Develop high quality evidence based written communication materials including media releases, speeches for the CEO
Monitor the media and policy environment, provide analysis of daily media monitoring and timely communications advice and updates to the CEO
Develop and execute media strategies to drive engagement
Provide communications advice to the CEO and senior executive

Please note that, on occasion, this position may need to be available out of hours to respond to media enquiries and event requirements.

Skills and Experience required:

Experience in a Media or media-related position is essential. Private sector experience will be considered.
