About the role


As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will assume the supervised, clinical management of patients under the direct care of the Clinical Pharmacology team.

You will be a member of the Multidisciplinary Ambulatory Consulting Service involved in the management of patients with multiple medical diseases.

In this service, you will have a major role undertaking assessment and treatment of patients.

Accepting clinical responsibility under gradually diminishing supervision, you will contribute to the management of patients and provide appropriate and timely emotional support to families of patients.


You will also be involved in a number of educational roles for medical students, pharmacists and other clinical staff, and be involved in medication governance such as contributing to the Central Adelaide Drug committee, the South Australian Formulary Committee, and the Investigational Drug Subcommittee.

You will also be involved in clinical research, as this is a fundamental part of Clinical Pharmacology.

You will have successful completion of the Royal Australasian Fellowship (FRACP) exam, both written and clinical, and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Medical Practitioner.

With demonstrated competence in clinical pharmacology, you will have a high level of personal and professional integrity and commitment to quality improvement and safe practice.

Adaptable to change and willing to accept constructive feedback on performance from senior staff, you will work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
