The opportunity


As the Assurance and Risk Manager this will be a two-dimensional role where you will together with the Senior Assurance and Risk Manager helping embed QBE 's Enterprise Risk Management framework, providing 1st line opinion on management of operational risk and work in collaboration with business units and stakeholders.

The other dimension to enable and strengthen the AUSPAC delivery portfolio by reviewing and reporting on the value stream agile deliveries and waterfall projects within the strategy and transformation governance portfolio to ensure control assurance strategies, deliverables and plans are compliant with process and regulations.


Your story so far:


Having good understanding and experience in working across all 3 lines of risks and good understanding and strong working knowledge of risk and delivery in an agile and waterfall environment.

Proven experience in driving risk in change projects and high value projects to ensure compliance with process, regulations and deliverables.

Provide Line 1 risk support and guidance to business units in risk identification, management of issues and incidents, implement controls measures and help drive a positive risk culture.


Other requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience across Risk and Assurance domains
  • Relevant Agile/Project Management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Analytical skills, strong attention to detail and able to multitask.
