How important to you is keeping your identity safe? The Identity Matching Services (IDMS) are focused on verifying and protecting the identity of all Australians - including yours.


The IDMS is comprised of:
- the Document Verification Service (DVS) which enables authorised users to verify identify information that individuals present as evidence of identity

  • Face Matching Services (FMS) Programs that use facial biometrics to compare an image to an Australian government issued source document; and
- the National Driver Licence Facial Recognition Solution (NDLFRS) which is still under development and is intended to contain the biographic and biometric information for driver licence images for each state/territory.

How you can help us make a difference
The main responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • support management of performance and day to day operations of the IDMS
- support user interaction with IDMS support services
- develop communication templates
- build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including other government departments and law enforcement agencies
- coordination of workshops, meetings and stakeholder forums, including assistance with governance and secretariat activities
- supporting development of IDMS client correspondence and responding to IDMS user queries
- maintenance and use of information databases, including data entry and data retrieval tasks
- assisting with the maintenance of support documentation and online information
- provide leadership, guidance and support to junior staff to build knowledge, skills and productivity.
