The Location

The Southern Highlands of NSW is made up of 34 towns and villages, providing both a rural yet cosmopolitan lifestyle of cafes, restaurants and wineries offering a diverse range of industry, sports, arts and culture, affordable housing, excellent schools, only 90 minutes drive travel to Canberra and Wollongong.

Situated only 136 km away from the Sydney City Centre, this beautiful regional town is fast becoming gentrified. It has an oceanic climate, enjoying warm summers and quite cool to cold winters.

There are plenty of activities locally or within a short drive from visiting the beach or going to the snowy mountains.

The Position

This is a practice position in a location where the demand for services far outstrips what is currently available in the region.

Many patients are currently referred to Brisbane. The local GP community would much prefer to refer their patients to a local Physician.

There is also lots of support from a team of Physicians across multiple sub specialties so the on call commitment is kept to a minimum.

Most sub specialty interests can also be accommodated.

The Facility

This is a level 3 acute bed facilities which provides a wide range of services including 24 hour Emergency Department, 2 x Operating Theatres, Day Surgery, Endoscopy, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Critical and Coronary Care, Maternity & Paediatrics and is currently undergoing redevelopment with a new inpatient facility to be completed by 2020.

Redevelopment of new in-patient facility currently in progress, due for opening in early 2020.

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must have

Current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialists (State) Award.

Up to $199,027.31 per year
