About the position
The Centre of Excellence Receptionist role is not your typical Receptionist position.

Operating in a fast-paced environment and reporting to the Office Manager, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors, contractors and guests at the Newcastle Knights Centre of Excellence training facility and offices.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Welcoming all visitors and guests to the Centre.
  • Keep the entrance to the Centre secure, and maintaining a visitor log.
  • Welcoming media for weekly press conferences.
  • Accept deliveries, couriers and mail and distribute to staff.
  • Assist with RAT testing visitors when required to meet ongoing COVID19 protocols related to professional athletes.
  • Liaise with builders and service workers for repairs and maintenance around the Centre.
  • Liaise with Cleaners and Maintenance team.
  • Point of contact for all staff on site when any facility issues arise around the Centre.
  • Coordinate the collection/delivery of laundered playing kit.
  • Assist staff from Head Office when on site.
  • Stationery stocktake and ordering with Procurement Manager.
  • General admin support, especially for our Pathways division.
  • Travel booking support for Recruitment and Pathways divisions.
  • Game Day support required for Pathways teams.
  • Regular working hours, Monday to Friday. However, some out of hour work may be required on game days.

About you

years demonstrated experience in a Receptionist or Facilities Coordination position.- Professional disposition with the ability to remain focussed on the task on hand.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Ability to work as a team and independently and is confident in managing their own time.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach.
  • A high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality.
  • Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or Qualifications in Facilities Management highly regarded.
