The Role:

Reporting to the Manager People Hub this role will deliver customer-centric service excellence of Melbourne Water's People Operational Services and to facilitate a positive employee lifecycle experience for all leaders and employees this will be achieved through:

  • Delivery of high-quality People Operational Services that support all core People Hub processes & procedures.
  • Deliver responsive expert advice and creatively resolve complex queries relating to employment conditions and People Hub processes and procedures.
  • Work with the People Hub Manager to identify continuous improvement opportunities and ensure all core People Hub processes & procedures are repeatable, scalable and measurable with a strong focus on enduser experience.
  • Facilitate and ensure compliance with People Hub processes & procedures, document management and control procedures are in place and regularly reviewed.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to the People Hub Advisors to ensure the provision of highquality and timely customercentric service.

Skills and Experience:


  • Significant demonstrated generalist experience in a range of People services.
  • Experience with and knowledge of HRIS, including CHRIS21 and Cornerstone desirable.
  • Significant knowledge of workplace People policies and procedures including the ability to review and develop People policies and procedures to ensure they are best practice and are in line with current legislation.
  • Strong operational process experience and ability to track and record activity to monitor for performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Relevant experience in Employee Relations intervention and management with demonstrated ability in supporting ER case work.
  • Superior communication skills and a high level of customer service orientation when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
