We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Health & Well-being Site Leader to join our collaborative Community Respite Team at Myrtle Cottage in Myrtle Bank.


About the role


The Health and Wellbeing Site Leader is responsible for the delivery of our day-to-day services at Myrtle Cottage ensuring a health focused service delivery model to older adults with physical and/or cognitive care needs.

Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • upholding and implementing Montessori activities and health ageing principles within our service delivery model.
- leading the delivering of high quality, meaningfully engaging services and activities to clients aligned to client competency, focused on reablement, wellness and engagement.
- monitoring and evaluating our service to ensure a high quality service, client satisfaction and successful achievement of client goals.
- identifying early signs of decline and implementation of strategies to prevent and reverse frailty.
- providing clinical support and supervision to the Respite Care Assistants.
- partnering with other internal and external stakeholders to provide referral and care integration across multiple programs.

About you
We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.

  • Certification in Dementia Care and experience in dementia care.
  • Certificate III in Aged Care & 5 or more years experience working within the Aged Care Industry is desirable.
  • Clinical expertise in working with community dwelling older adults with changed behaviours and complex needs including experience with case management.
  • Demonstrated competency of health ageing approaches including service delivery for older adults based on the Montessori approach.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work within a team and to relate with all levels of staff, client, carers, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer and keyboard skills and the ability to use Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail and inhouse databases).
  • Current Driver's Licence & Senior First Aid Certificate.
