The Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems Maritime Systems Program Office (EWIS-Maritime SPO) is seeking a highly professional, motivated and experienced APS 6 Security Advisor to join our Team.
The Security Advisor will be responsible for maintaining close links with a range of Defence Industry security partners, managing key stakeholder relationships and identifying relevant expectations and concerns in order to develop and communicate methodologies and procedures.
This position requires good stakeholder engagement skills, excellent communication skills and a sound understanding of security-related legislative frameworks and policy requirements.
The successful applicant will be accountable under broad direction to perform, contribute, and achieve very complex protective security work within an integrated workforce.
They will undertake activities including compliance inspections, development of local policies, incident reporting, visitor access, and security inductions and training for approved personnel.
About our Team
EWIS-Maritime SPO currently manages a number of electronic warfare systems fitted to both the surface and sub-surface fleet, such as the Nulka Decoy product and various Sensors and Electronic Attack products in both acquisition and sustainment phases.
The SPO delivers these capabilities to both the Australian Defence Force and United States Navy.EWIS-Maritime SPO is widely dispersed across Australia with this position based at Orchard Hills, NSW.
The successful applicant will participate in an integrated team, including APS, military and contractor staff, to ensure the supported Electronic Warfare capabilities are delivered to the ADF and supported in accordance with operational and compliance requirements, budget, and service agreements.
The Security Advisor will be accountable to set work priorities and manage workflows and will be expected to build team capability by developing quality products and building and sustaining productive and collaborative relationships.
The successful applicant will have:

- Excellent communication and customer engagement skills and the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders both internal and external to Defence.
