About the Canberra Practice


Our Canberra office is at the forefront of handling diverse insurance claims, specialising in public liability, professional negligence, and property damage.

With a focus on sensitive claims, major claims, personal injury related to occupiers' liability, and workplace accidents, our practice extends across all Australian jurisdictions.


The role
As a casual paralegal in our Canberra office, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team and responsibilities can vary


Typical responsibilities can include:

  • Conducting legal research and reviews.
  • Assisting in the preparation of court documents and briefs.
  • Drafting correspondence.
  • Liaising with clients, counsel and other parties as required.
  • Providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Studying towards your legal studies.
  • Proven experience as a paralegal, preferably in insurance law.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and the Microsoft Office Suite.
