Position Overview


Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of the service delivery in the program/s and ensuring consistently outstanding practice.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of service delivery within your portfolio including oversight and support to individual programs to ensure that young people are receiving quality support and care, through targeted therapeutic interventions relevant to their care plan, and awareness of how these needs change over time with the ability to adapt intervention and support as required.
  • Provide oversight and support to residential teams and family or foster carers to assist them to provide ongoing care that is emotionally and physically safe, developmentally appropriate, nurturing, appropriate engaging and stimulation to support growth and resilience.
  • Ensure delivery of quality services to clients within a clientcentred and strengthsbased case management framework.
  • Represent Praxis Solutions in a professional manner, build and maintain effective working relationships and advocate for clients through participating in interagency meetings, policy review, consultation forums, working parties and reference groups with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure programs are meeting funding targets and capacity benchmarks as outlined in funding agreements/budgets and undertake the required reporting to the appropriate funding body and identify emergent risks to the Executive Team.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide range of stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage program and site expenditure in line with budgets, applicable financial delegation, reporting on any overspends with a proposed solution.
  • Maintaining responsibility and accountability of HSQF Standards, Child Safety licensing requirements & internal audit management systems.
  • Lead and contribute to a positive and effective team culture that promotes diversity and inclusion.
  • Assist in strategic planning, identifying growth potential and opportunities and implementation of priorities.
  • Conduct performance coaching, professional development, and discipline processes in line with the relevant organisational procedures.

Other Duties

  • Some travel may be required.
  • Provide rostered after hours on call support as required.
  • Any other duties as directed.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience within a management level role.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, Child Protection and Out of Home care.
  • Demonstrated ability or understanding of how to manage programs within a budget
  • Welldeveloped time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication both written and oral.
  • Will be required to undergo probity checks, including criminal record checks, Working with Children and any other relevant licensing requirements.
