About the Position:
This position leads the presentation and enhancement of our premier, district and local sporting reserves, two council managed golf courses and the supporting assets that support active recreation, ensuring that they are fit for use and meet our community and user expectations.
Uniquely, this position also leads the grounds management of our new regional sporting facility in the Glen Waverley Sports Hub which encompasses a state-of-the-art tennis facility and the Glen Waverley Golf Course.
About you:
An experienced people leader with a growth mindset
Experienced in management of active open space, playing surfaces and/or golf courses
Passionate and knowledgeable of best practice sports turf management techniques and standards
A sound communicator
A proven track record managing service contracts and delivery of renovation and construction projects
Driven to exceed customer and stakeholder expectations
Requirement of the position:
Tertiary qualification (Diploma or greater) in Horticulture (Sports turf management) or similar relevant qualification with extensive on the job experience managing high level sporting facilities.
Employee Working with Children's Check
Satisfactory National Police Check; and
Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements.
