About the role
We are looking to hire a Terminal Coordinator to support the team at our Acacia Ridge Terminal.

The Terminal Coordinator will be responsible for developing and monitoring the operational plan whilst performing critical functions in the key operational areas of the terminal.

They will also develop the operational plan to ensure the terminal infrastructure and assets are utilised in a manner that performance to excellence.


Other key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating terminal related tasks associated with the train loading/unloading and planning.
  • Ensuring all departing train loadings are maximised and compliant with the regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring all container freight movements occur efficiently, whilst delivering high quality customer service and meeting safety requirements
  • Planning the daily terminal layout and the loading for forklift drivers as required
  • Planning and communicating the shunt movements to relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Recording and maintaining data online
  • Liaise with customers to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Ensuring all relevant safe working procedures are abided by.

About you


This role will require an effective communicator that can clearly and concisely communicate with all relevant stakeholders, whilst also having a keen interest in the success of the terminal at the forefront of their thinking.

You will be a problem solver and enjoy the busy paced environment of a large terminal.


Additionally you will have:

  • Experience working in Supply Chain, Transport, Rail or other relevant industry
  • Background in a planning role or similar.
  • Customer Service experience
  • Ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal,
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Advanced Intermediate computer / Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
