About the role


In collaboration with key stakeholders, the Project Officer will lead the development of a Diabetes in Pregnancy Program at Calvary Public Hospital Bruce that is woman and family centred, evidence-based and linked to established community services in the ACT.

As part of the project, the Project Officer will facilitate the commissioning of three funded cots within the Calvary Special Care Nursery.

Key Responsibilities


Effective project management of the development of a Diabetes in Pregnancy Program and expansion of funded cots the Special Care Nursery at Calvary Public Hospital Bruce.


The Project Officer has a lead role in planning and implementing the program within a set time period and within allocated funding.

Effective utilization of project budget including efficiencies.

Change management

Managing project risks including highlighting emerging or potential risks and identifying mitigating strategies to address them.

What you bring

Strong planning and coordinating skills

Ability to manage and prioritise fluctuating workload

Work collaboratively and in partnership with key stakeholders to provide best practice care through quality improvement and innovation.

Facilitate contemporary practices, research, and the delivery of services to the highest professional standards

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to organise and present information in a compelling and succinct manner.

Excellent IT skills including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
