This position is located at the Community Forensic Mental Health Service (CFMHS) in Clifton Hill, 15 minutes from Melbourne's city centre.

CFMHS is a specialist state-wide agency that works with individuals who have a serious mental health illness and have offended or are at risk of offending.

Our CFMHS Service is soon to be expanding our services to Regional Victoria with Barwon services the first region being commenced.


About the Role:


The Best Care Co-ordinator (Quality partner) position forms part of the Quality Systems Team which is responsible for leading the design, development, implementation and monitoring of Forensicare's quality and safety systems that strive for Best Care that is safe, effective, person-centred and connected.

The Best Care Co-ordinator position sits within the broader Quality Systems team and will report to the Manager of the Quality Systems Team.

The role will hold a range of portfolios in accordance with the responsibilities of the team and will be expected to work in strong partnership and collaboration within the team and across the organisation.


Duties:


  • Using specialist knowledge, lead the implementation and ongoing management of designated key quality processes and systems across the organisation which facilitate the provision of Best Care reflecting the organisation's clinical governance framework.
  • As a Best Care Quality Partner, provide authoritative support, direction and expert guidance to designated NSQHS Standards Committee/s and Directorate Best Care Committees to ensure the organisation is meeting the requirements of the National Standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other Quality Systems team members to coordinate the development, implementation and monitoring of best practice systems and processes to meet the requirements of the National Standards and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

About You:


  • A sound understanding of clinical governance processes and the systems that support provision of high quality care.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate with sensitivity, tact, discretion, empathy and understanding with consumers, carers and staff
  • A good working knowledge of the NSQHS Standards
  • Working and technical knowledge of RiskMan
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, including the ability to develop new processes and make improvements to processes and services.
