An opportunity exists for an experienced Rehabilitation Specialist to work with our businesses and claims team to ensure effective early intervention and return to work planning for our most important asset, our Team Members.

The ideal fit for this role would be an Occupational Therapist, Physio or health worker, with a passion of occupational rehabilitation.


About the role:


You will proactively drive sustainable return to work outcomes via direct engagement with Injured Team Members, our Businesses and Treating Practitioners.

Getting involved in providing advice for complex claims and will work closely with our claims team to develop strategies to return our Team Members to health.


You will also:

- understand return to work compliance requirements and ensure our business meets these requirements on allocated cases
- assist the business in identifying and implementing return to work plans
- build effective internal and external relationships to deliver improved outcomes
- build the capability of the workers compensation state team and business stakeholders in effective return to work planning.


About you and your skills:


We are looking for a professional with a background in allied health and experience in return-to-work planning with significant experience in workplace-based rehabilitation or experience within workers' compensation or similar environment.


You will also have:

- strong influencing and stakeholder management skills and genuine care for our injured team members
- experience in taking a strategic approach to delivering strong outcomes with difficult claims
- certification or qualification in allied health or a field relevant to rehabilitation or relevant experience
- an understanding and knowledge of all rehabilitation principles, service providers, medical terminology and management of injuries
- excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage in effective discussions with relevant stakeholders.
