Where you'll be working

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region.

What you'll be doing
The Finance Business partner role for transactional and management reporting is expected to:

  • Influence and support divisional and departmental managers of a portfolio of services to achieve the desired financial outcomes of the organization. This includes planning, implementing and monitoring of governance structures to control and manage the use of financial resources and budgets.
  • As an integral member of the District's management and transactional reporting team, bring key financial and commercial insights to the decision making process and be seen as an authority on FTE reporting and analysis for the District.
  • Lead and manage budget processes across the District and maintain standard templates and inputs. Implement governance on outputs from stakeholders and business partners.

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in management, business or accounting or extensive equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated evidence of experience in financial or business management.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills that support the primary business function of a large organisation.
  • Demonstrated high level analytical skills using financial, statistical, human resources and management data systems to proactively improve business performance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, marketing and customer service skills applicable in both a technical and business context.
  • Computer and systems literacy; particularly in Microsoft Office products and Oracle financials.
  • Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills, proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both within and team environment and independently.
