About the role:


An exciting opportunity for a suitability qualified and experienced Koorie Student Support Officer to join our established and highly regarded Koorie Team.

The role of the Koorie Student Support Officer is to provide a range of welfare monitoring and intervention support to ensure the success of Koorie students to commence, continue and complete their studies.

This position works collaboratively with teachers and managers at all levels to engage, retain and build success of the Koorie students.

This position works to deliver highly valued support strategies to improve student retention and success and ensure an excellent student experience for students at the Institute.


About You:


  • High level ICT skills and competence in the use of Microsoft Office products with the ability to learn new software's required for the position
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Koorie culture and history with the ability to proactively contribute to building Koorie cultural safety and respect
  • Ability to build relationships with Koorie students, internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure with the ability to prioritise and meet reporting and project deadlines

Mandatory requirements:


  • Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
  • Current Police check (no older than 12 months)
  • Current COVID19 Vaccination Certificate
  • Current Driver's Licence
