About the role
UGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance Business are looking for Electrical Fitter to join our mining component overhaul team.

  • Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will see you providing electrical expertise in both field service and our workshop overhauling electrical components for mining equipment.
  • This role will be offered on a permanent full time basis on a 9 day fortnight with every second Friday off, hours are Monday
  • Thursday 5.30am 2.30pm and the Friday you do work is 5.30am 1.30pm.

About you

  • Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a Certificate of Proficiency
  • Electrical
  • Electrical
Licence is desirable

  • Component overhaul experience is beneficial
  • Ability to Interpret Engineering Drawings
  • Ability to work to a fastpaced production schedule
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Tasks

  • Electric Motor maintenance including inspection, cleaning, commutator and brush maintenance
  • Disassembly, overhaul and rebuild of electrical components including motors, generators and alternators
  • Wash bay operation and cleaning of parts
  • Complete quality documentation and reports
  • Assisting other trades and workshop planners with variety of tasks
