On behalf of our client, a leading oil & Gas company, we are seeking a skilled Structural Coordinator with a strong background in boilermaking and welding to join their team.


About this role Responsibilities include**
Structural Coordination:
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate structural fabrication and welding activities to meet project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations during all fabrication and welding processes.
  • Review engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of design details.

Resource Management:


  • Allocate resources, including skilled boilermakers and welders, to various project tasks based on skillsets and project demands.
  • Monitor resource utilization and optimize efficiency to achieve project milestones.

Quality Assurance:


  • Implement quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of structural fabrication and welding.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and final products to ensure adherence to specifications and safety protocols.

Welding Expertise:


  • Provide technical expertise in welding techniques, equipment, and materials to ensure optimal weld quality and integrity.
  • Assist in selecting appropriate welding procedures and materials for specific project requirements.

Safety and Compliance:


  • Champion a strong safety culture by enforcing safe work practices and promoting a hazardfree work environment.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks, emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety guidelines.

Communication and Collaboration:


  • Liaise with crossfunctional teams, including project managers, engineers, and procurement, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to stakeholders.

Documentation and Reporting:


  • Maintain accurate records of welding and fabrication activities, including weld logs, inspection reports, and material certifications.
  • Generate reports on project status, resource allocation, and quality control for management review.

About you

  • Trade certification as a Boilermaker or Welder is essential.
  • Previous experience in a Structural Coordinator role or similar capacity within the Mining and Oil & Gas industries is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, techniques, and materials.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to structural fabrication and welding.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage concurrent projects.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to hazard identification and mitigation.
