The
State Service Manager is to lead the Service and Pre-Delivery Teams ensuring all work on the customer's machines is completed efficiently and to a quality standard that results in high degree of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Meet and support customer expectations and maintain appropriate working relationships with all major suppliers
- Manage a team of after market and administrative assistants whilst leading a safe workplace
- Facilitate weekly face to face meetings with your team
- Promote employee development and succession planning
- Actively pursue Zero harm
- Embrace the companies business system philosophy and be the advocate for the region
- Liaise with the leadership team for preparation of forecasts and budgets to meet overall objectives of the company
- Maintain revenue and cost related targets for the state
- Collaborate with interstate branches to ensure effective development throughout the business
- Market and promote parts and service capability to existing and new customers
- Work with the National Parts Manager to optimise the parts inventory holdings
- Assist customers through education on our products, service, warranty and technical support
- Ensure customers have access to field service, parts personnel and other team members as and when required
Experience Required
- Previous Managerial experience, preferably in the mobile equipment rental industry
- Tertiary qualifications advantageous but not essential
- Qualification in lean or continuous improvement highly regarded
- Experience in the maintenance and operation of Mobile Elevating Work Platform equipment (desirable)
- A Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Light Vehicle or Heavy Duty (desirable but not essential)
- A current driver's licence
Skills
- Proven people management skills
- Proven leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook
- Understanding of safety requirements and practices
- The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, both internally and externally
- Selfmotivated with an ability to manage time and workload autonomously and within the overall team environment
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
