The Role

We are looking for motivated, high performing individuals to fill a number of EL1 roles within the Directorate: Internal Audit - Technical: An internal IT audit expert with a passion for maintaining high standards, and driving business improvement.

A strong interest, technical skill and experience in technology assurance, technology risk and IT audit will be advantageous in this role.

You will be responsible for leading a small team conducting high quality technical assurance audits, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement and corrective actions.

This role will require detailed knowledge of complex platform and technology architecture and understanding of current standards, best practice processes and methodologies, internal control concepts and risk management frameworks, to enable effective review of compliance.

Internal Audit - Projects a project governance expert with a passion for maintaining high standards, and driving business improvement.

A strong interest in project analysis and expertise in project controls and risk management will be advantageous in this role.

You will be responsible for providing recommendations for continuous improvement and corrective actions to improve project performance measures.

This role will require an in-depth knowledge of compliance with complex project management practices and methodology, and internal control concepts and risk management frameworks, to enable effective review of performance.


Assurance Manager:

An audit and assurance expert with a passion for providing high-quality services, with a focus on fostering collaborative relationships with audit stakeholders.

An understanding of internal and external audit controls or risk management will be advantageous in this role.


You will be responsible for leading a small team, planning, leading and managing quality assurance checks, governance and corporate reporting activities, providing guidance to DDG executive supporting decision-making on risks and important statuses.

This role will require acquiring knowledge of Defence's mission and policy requirements, and DDG's objectives and key projects.

Group Operations Division within DDG, provides high quality advice and services to the Group and wider Defence.

The Directorate of Risk, Assurance and Audit is a small dynamic team, providing high quality and proactive risk, assurance and audit services supporting DDG's strategic direction and decision-making.

The Directorate of Risk, Assurance and Audit is looking for highly motivated individuals who can demonstrate their skills and experience related to the functions indicated below.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage work independently;
  • Strong written skills with experience in writing and preparing corporate documents;
  • Exceptional communication skills in order to communicate complex information to a nontechnical audience; and
  • The ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, and senior executive.
