Disability and Mental Health Support Workers North Brisbane
United Disability Care (UDC) aims to support people to love their life and live their dreams. We provide tailored disability services across QLD, NSW and SA.


We are currently recruiting support workers to join our growing organisation for various services in and around North Brisbane for both Disability and Mental Health Support Workers.


If you are someone that enjoys helping people in the community, caring by nature and have an understanding on how to provide a person led approach support, and you have the flexibility to work active nights, sleepover and weekend shifts, able to work independently, then we would definitely like to hear from you.

We offer flexible rosters

UDC is a committed to ensuring greater independence for the people we care for, encouraging participation and learning. As a Support Worker you are responsible for assisting each individual to live a life by their design. Duties may include personal care, manual handling/hoisting, knowledge of diabetes and epilepsy and challenging behaviours.


You need to support the rights of people to choose how they live their life, at times advocating with the person around their choices.


Essential:


  • Previous experience/skills are desirable providing disability support services
  • Caring for people who have a disability or dual diagnosis Mental Health
  • Managing challenging and/or unusual behaviours or complex behaviours
  • CERT III or IV in Disability/Mental Health/Community Services or equivalent
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
  • Current Full Driver's Licence
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Smart Phone
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts
