About the Program

SSI is one of 6 organisations funded by Department of Health and Aged Care to implement the Home Care Workforce Support Program to help aged care providers attract, train and retain home care workers to help older people remain in their homes and to access safe, high quality home care services.

About the Role

This temporary contract role (6 months approximately) will work closely with the leadership team of HCWSP and the other SSI departmental and functional stakeholders to design, plan and implement the change management framework and plan for business transition for the Homecare Workforce Support Program (HCWSP) leading up to the conclusion of the current funding contract.


Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
The Change Manager will work to drive adoption, higher utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees. These improvements will increase benefit realization, value creation and the achievement of results and outcomes.

  • Define and design structured methodology, process, and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative and lead change and experience management activities across all stages of the project.
  • Liaise with People and Culture, Finance, Marketing, Data Analytics and IT Business Partners to identify and map stakeholders, conduct change impact analysis, prepare risk mitigation tactics, and create actionable deliverables based on the outcomes required.
  • Design and implement a roadmap for change and provide engaging and relevant reporting and analysis on relevant milestones and progress.
  • Support HCWSP leaders and other staff with regular communication and coaching regarding change management practices and behaviours to ensure understanding and acceptance of change.
  • Coordinate with IT, Legal, and other stakeholders as needed, regarding the decommissioning, retention or transfer of IT equipment, websites or data according to the change plan.
  • Coordinate appropriate communication, in conjunction with the Head of Program, Legal, Internal Communications, Finance, People and Culture and other team members, regarding change initiatives and processes on behalf of HCWSP.
  • Other duties as directed from time to time within your skills range and capacity.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree qualification in relevant field or equivalent
  • At least 5 years' experience leading complex change initiatives at an enterprise level;
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools;
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent active listening skills and ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences;
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships, influence other and move toward a common vision or goal;
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations;
  • Design and MS PowerPoint skills;
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle;
  • Presentation and facilitation skills;
