- Assist the Manager in shaping and implementing procurement instructions, procedures, and guidelines.
- Serve as a reliable advisor, providing guidance to department staff.
- Exercise authority on all procurement activities within your delegation.
- Coordinate the disclosure processes for contract transactional expenditure.
- Take responsibility for awarding and publishing contracts valued at or above $10,000 (inclusive of GST).
- Coordinate and provide advice on procurement-related communication and maintain updates on the department's Procurement intranet sites.
- Be a supportive figure, providing advice to departmental officers.
- Undertake the administration of departmental supply arrangements.
- Keep informed of industry procurement trends and practices.
- We're seeking a problem-solver who can evaluate alternatives and make data-driven recommendations. Your analytical skills will be key to overcoming challenges.Requirements/Skills
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Residency.
- Preferred Level 3 Procurement Certification (no older than 2013), but Level 2 can be considered with the right experience.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in contemporary procurement and category management practices.
- Autonomous with the ability to priorities considering team impact.
- Growth mindset and focused on forming positive relationships.
- Working with Children Check.
- Criminal History Check.
- Two professional references.
