About the Health Independence Program


The Health Independence Program encompasses many of the services that deliver health care to support the transition from hospital to home.

These services can also prevent the need for a hospital presentation or reduce the clients stay, with some clients accessing these services directly from the community.

Whilst components of the HIP programs are located across the Austin, Heidelberg Repatriation and Royal Talbot Campuses, the HIP base is the Health and Rehabilitation Centre which is the main centre for these programs.


This position is based at the HRC - Repatriation campus, but will have responsibilities across the health service and staff may be called on to travel between all three campuses and Austin's community partners when required.


About the role


The primary objective of this role is provide professional, customer-focused and efficient administrative support of the Health Independence Program (HIP) Specialist Clinic services at the Repatriation Hospital - Austin Health, including supporting the Pain, Continence and Wound clinics.


This role sits within the HIP Specialist Clinics Services and may be required to support the needs of other HIP services.
