About the Business:


The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.


The Spark Consortium's Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.


The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads.

Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.


About the Role:


Reporting to the Quality & Completions Manager, this role is responsible for objectively assessing, reporting on and managing changes, and contributing to the team to enhance design, construction, and commercial outcomes.

Experience in reporting, auditing and risk management procedures and processes will be viewed favourably.


You will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing work practices and assisting in the development of the techniques to deliver improvements and efficiencies for the management of work processes
  • Assessing and performing audit activities for consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to verify compliance with factory contract requirements.
  • Reviewing quality and performance reports and providing input to the project management monthly reports.
  • Providing support to the Project Quality Manager in the implementation of the Project Quality Management Plan
  • Developing and implementing systems and practices for the factory to support the achievement of the objectives outlined in the Quality Plan and the requirements of the management system procedures. This includes the establishment of management systems to track compliance of the products.
  • Monitoring the integrity of quality related data recorded by site personnel in the Quality database
  • Ensuring site staff and key workforce members understand the Project's quality objectives and detecting response requirements as set by the project contract.

About You:


  • Qualifications: Diploma in Engineering, Quality Management, or Project Management
  • Minimum 12 years' experience in a similar role and/or involving Civil Engineering or Quality Management
  • Knowledge of Quality Management processes
preferably in a construction environment

  • Skills in monitoring, reviewing, reporting and continuous improvement on performance and compliance
  • Reporting, auditing and risk management procedures and processes
