The Role
KBR is seeking a ICT Specialist to support our EWIS - Joint & Air customer in Canberra.


This position shall be responsible for providing ICT/Engineering project support to the CASG Australian Public Service (APS) staff who are striving to deliver the Electronic Warfare and Survivability project JP932- is currently pre-Gate 0 and is looking to go to CMGR within the next few months.


The position will focus on successfully delivering the outcomes contracted for the project, for building the value of the KEY-team brand with the client and maximising the opportunities for business growth within the operating rules applicable to the MSP.

Close coordination and alignment with the other EWIS-JA Projects, as well as the capability manager, is essential to success.

  • The ability to liaise with multiple and diverse stakeholder entities including entities within Defence, national partners and international parties;
  • Documentation development for project activities required to support the capability product into the future;
  • Manage the delivery of the security certification and accreditation documentation of ICT systems;
  • Provide input to the integration of Agile Methodologies across the project;
  • The translation of project information into high level briefs suitable for executive decision making;
  • Work with the existing team to successfully deliver the capability into an operational environment;
  • Act with a high degree of autonomy and maturity with personal accountability for team outcomes;
  • Performing other reasonable duties as directed by the IWP Lead, Project Manager or Program Director;
  • Manage the development and implementation of ICT policies and procedures as they relate to the project.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment and provide high level HSE leadership.

Required Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) of Electronic Engineering or other related engineering field that satisfies the requirements of the position, from an Australian institution or other recognised international institution.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience
  • History of delivering ICT capability projects to completion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both software developers and executive team audiences
  • An understanding of Network & Systems architecture at a high and low level
  • Degree in ICT (preferred) or Engineering
  • An understanding of Electronic Warfare
  • Defence experience (Uniformed, APS or Contractor)
  • Capability Life Cycle experience (or whole of product life cycle) particularly sustainment

  • Currently hold, NV2 with the ability to obtain a TSPV security clearance if required
