1 Objectives and scope of the position
This role is a key strategic partner to the firm, responsible for aligning human resources initiatives with business objectives.

The People and Culture Business Advisor will provide guidance and support on a range of programs and policies including talent management, employee relations, performance management and employee development.

The position requires strong empathy and a deep understanding of KordaMentha's culture and values, as well as a strong ability to build relationships with employees at all levels


2 Duties and responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the People and Culture team to advise and deliver best practice HR to our internal and external stakeholders:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding
  • In conjunction with the Senior Talent Acquisition Lead, develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent that aligns with KordaMentha's culture and values.
  • Add value to the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for all new starters.
  • Employee Engagement and Development
  • Act as a coach, providing guidance and support to help each employee reach their full potential. Develop and deliver programs and initiatives aimed at improving staff engagement and satisfaction.


  • Performance Management

  • Partner with managers to drive performance excellence and support employees in their career development. Facilitate the performance review process, ensuring it is fair, transparent, and beneficial to all.


  • Employee Relations

  • Address staff matters proactively and provide guidance and support to managers on ER matters.


  • Policy and Compliance

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are uptodate, legislatively compliant and aligned with HR best practice. Keep informed of industry trends and changes in employment law and advise the business accordingly, including recommendations for improvement.
  • In conjunction with the Director People and Culture, review the effectiveness of HR policies and initiatives across employee development and performance management.

3 Qualifications and experience/skills required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • 5+ years' experience in HR, with a focus on business partnering and engagement
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of business
  • Effective analytical skills and ability to make datadriven decisions
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering successful HR programs and initiatives.
  • Ability to think strategically, analyse data, and develop solutions to complex HR problems.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects
