This opportunity


As
Head of Product Commercial and Post-paid, this role is responsible for defining Commercial, Pricing and Insights strategies and managing revenue and customer investment to optimise acquisition, retention and growth objectives.

The role works closely with teams in Commercial Operations to develop market Leading and commercially viable strategies for the Consumer Product portfolio including Post-paid Transformation, Sales, CLM, Marketing, Finance, Networks, IT, Care and Operations, Legal, Business & VGE, Fixed, iOT, Devices & Accessories, new revenue streams, content and channels.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and own the development of annual and quarterly Commercial strategies for the Product Marketing portfolio based on customer insights, customer experience, and engagement with the Product Marketing, Devices and Sales teams.
  • Lead and own appropriate updates and strategy and tactical conversations on pricing with various leadership teams.
  • Own budget development for revenue, margin, population for postpaid commercial
  • Lead a large team of product managers, insights analysts, and commercial managers, ensuring delivery of results and employee engagement targets.
  • Own the annual revenue, population, margin, device margin targets and tactical trading.
  • Work closely with Head of Devices, Prepaid and sub brands, fixed, within Commercial, the Transformation teams (including product) to deliver to targets.
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, and CVM to define and develop innovative, customer centric and value based commercial strategies that give a competitive advantage.
  • Drive detailed device and plan profitability analysis to support acquisition and retention management, to drive Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) optimisation.
  • Define and own the commercial strategies and principles for retention pricing to assist with maintaining the margin integrity within the customer base.
  • Lead for developing strategic initiatives for customer investment to enable us to meet relevant commercial targets (e.g., MHI, Prepayments, Early Upgrade, Device refurbishment, etc)
  • Lead a team that creates business cases for Commercial strategies and constructs, ensuring all concepts for new products or enhancements are commercially viable and achieve targets.
  • Lead a team to develop insights to help define and drive the commercial strategies.
  • Lead and own the commercial governance process across key business units such as Commercial Ops, Sales, Finance

Knowledge and experience

  • Outstanding executive influencing skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication.
  • Exceptional Analytical skills: in data manipulation, development of financial models, commercial analysis
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and keep market relevant on changes made by competitors in the global Telecommunications industry.
  • Ability to deal with rapid change and quick pace with resilience and fortitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills, with strong stakeholder impact and influence skills at the General Manager level.
  • Comprehensive strategic marketing knowledge and strong strategic skills.
  • Commercial orientation with demonstrated ability in commercial decision making.
  • Significant experience in top quality industry or consultancy roles.
  • Degree qualified, ideally in business or economics.
