Policy Officer
Location - Parramatta
Employment type - Ongoing full time
Salary - ($101,947 pa - $112,849 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
The Policy Officer coordinates and undertakes policy development, providing analysis and advice, to support Agency and/or Government policy initiatives and commitments.
What you'll do
You'll work as part of The Interagency Team manages key inter-agency agreements and cross-cluster intersections and projects with Education, Health and other agencies.
As a Policy Officer you will undertake research and analysis, reviewing alternatives in relation to policy deliverables as well as providing a range of project management and support services, including preparation of discussion papers, briefs and submissions, prepare and review policy advice to ensure alignment with policy directions.

Essential Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of legislation relevant to the Department's portfolio, government functions and the legislative process.
- Skills and experience in contributing to projects.
- Effective communication skills.
- Research and analyse information and make recommendations based on relevant evidence.
- Contribute to the achievement of team goals and priorities.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
