We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.

The Department
The Role
The BSR Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the registry ensuring the integrity and quality of the data being entered into the BSR.
The position provides direct supervision to approximately 2 full-time staff and approximately 6 part-time and casual staff (call centre, data entry officers, ethics officer).
Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated extensive and broad experience in leading, motivating and developing a team of professionals to deliver service excellence and continuous improvement
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to provide authoritative advice and to manage relationships, influence and negotiate at senior levels within and outside the University
- Superior planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks
- Experience managing teams and working in a team environment tasks to achieve a substantial agenda within agreed timeframes and to required standards
- Experience in and understanding of the healthcare industry, Human Research Ethics Committees and the higher education sector
Education/Qualifications
The appointee will have:
- Tertiary qualification/s in a relevant discipline; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
Desirable
- Relevant experience within the health and/or research sectors
- Experience working with healthcare related repositories of data such as a registry
