About the opportunity


We are seeking to appoint a Visual Production Officer in Brand Marketing team which is part of the Student Services and Operations Division.


This role plays a crucial part in the brand marketing team by contributing to the planning, coordination, and delivery of visual assets that represent the University's identity.

As a key member, you will assist in shaping the brand visual content through pre-production planning, talent coordination, and post-production workflows.

This role requires strong administration and organisational skills, experience in visual content production, excellent attention to detail and the ability to thrive and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


What you'll do:


  • Visual Content Planning
  • Develop a broad understanding of brand guidelines, visual style guide, and strategic priorities for the University.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify key visual asset priorities, understand objectives and plan production activities that align with brand guidelines and overall strategy.
  • Develop detailed briefs for external photography/videography suppliers, including shot lists, mood boards, locations, and timelines.
  • Source and maintain talent pool for shoots.
  • Prepare briefings and scheduling for talent, ensuring seamless coordination on the day of the shoot.
  • Coordinate on the day logistics
  • Execution of shoots
  • Assist with setup and execution of shoot, ensuring alignment with brief and brand guidelines.
  • Ensure that appropriate consent is captured from talent.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to achieve desired outcomes on location at shoots, providing creative input where required.
  • Contribute to the management of assets on the digital asset management platform.
  • Upload, curate and assign metadata for photography and video assets.
  • Assist with quality control and organisation of image data base, file names and tagging.
  • Ensure talent consent forms are captured and securely stored on database
  • Circulate images to ensure visibility for various stakeholders
  • Maintain and update a visual task board including current project timelines, tasks, and budgets for realtime visibility across the marketing team.
  • Support Brand and Campaign Coordinators with production of campaign assets.

What we're looking for:


  • Experience and understanding of photography and video production including technical aspects, creative input, and content types.
  • Experience in planning and coordinating visual asset production from conception to completion.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field, or relevant skills and industry experience
  • Strong time management and organisational skills and high level administration experience
  • Experience using a digital asset management system.

Salary details


Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $99,698 comprising base salary within the range of $76,302 to $85,212 plus 17% superannuation.
