ABOUT OUR CLIENT AND THE ROLE
Our client is a pioneer in communications equipment manufacturing located in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
As the Accounts Payable Officer, you will be responsible for the accurate entry of purchase orders and invoices, processing payments, conducting credit card reconciliations, and assisting with ad-hoc projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurate entry of Purchase Orders and Accounts Payable (A/P) Invoices, ensuring systematic filing within the A/P process.
- Regular processing of payments on a weekly schedule, including entering outgoing payments in bank statements.
- Thorough and timely reconciliation of up to 10 company credit cards.
- Assistance with various adhoc projects as they arise.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess 2 to 3 years of experience in a comparable accounts' role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- A degree, diploma, or certification in finance or accounting (preferred but not essential).
- Willingness to proactively undertake actions to support the team.
