Commercial Cookery Trainer & Assessor

We are Looking for Trainer & Assessor to deliver:


  • SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management:
-
SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited

  • Deliver training to wide range of participants from diverse backgrounds.
  • Conduct assessment in accordance with the principles of assessment and rules of evidence;
  • Development and enhancement of learning and assessment material
  • Ensure all materials, assessment plans, assessment tools are current, sufficient, valid and reliable
  • Managing the kitchen operations & deliver kitchen practical units.
  • Participation in Milestones training and assessment validation sessions.
  • Keeping accurate and detailed records of student attendance and course progress.

Selection Criteria
To be considered for these positions, you will need to demonstrate the following requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110 with upgrades) is essential
  • Local and relevant hospitality industry experience (minimum 4 years)
  • Relevant vocational competencies in Commercial Cookery & Hospitality management at minimum of Diploma level or Higherlevel qualification at least to the level being delivered and assessed
  • RTO training experience, delivering to international students desirable.
  • LMS (Moodle) and aXcelerate (Student Management System) experience is preferable.
  • Evidence of appropriate qualifications and recent/current industry experience relevant to the area of training you wish to conduct.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and strive for quality standards, ensuring compliance requirements always adhere to.
  • Ability to engage learners in a classroom environment.
  • Experience working with diverse groups of students.
  • Ability to work with teams with culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • Willingness to participate in course development activities.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and written communication skills.
  • Moderate computer literacy (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Initially, this will be a casual position of 2-3 days per week with a view to it becoming full-time as the enrolments increase.
The position will report to, and work closely with, the Campus Manager.
