The role
How often do you get to influence the outcome of a business meeting or sales pitch? If you're a Frontier Software Business Development Consultant, the answer is; all the time
Working alongside our Business Development Managers and Account Managers, this role engages you as a trusted advisor; a product expert who can showcase the ichris solution and explain the benefits in terms your audience will understand.
Some travel will be expected in this role - potentially once a month.
Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis you could be:
- Performing sales presentations and solution demonstrations virtually or in person;
- Qualifying inbound leads;
- Identifying and qualifying customers' business and functional requirements;
- Learning something new from a consultant or other internal resource;
- Maintaining the sales database for presentations.
Experience
A Frontier Software BDC is a triple-threat. They bring solid pre-sales skills alongwith great knowledge of both payroll and HR. They are just as comfortable presenting as they are tinkering in the back-end to configure the solution. They have an appetite for learning, absorbing and assimilating knowledge to share during customer interactions.
That's a tall order, so we're happy to hear from talented people who can offer a combination of presales, business system configuration or payroll expertise.
We hope you're a great storyteller, who can read an audience and capture their imagination. Your communication should be first-rate with the ability to easily break a technical concept down into simple terms. What's important is your ability to articulate why our solution fits the needs of our clients and prospects.We can teach you the stories, but you need to be able to weave them as you develop in your role.
Talking is one thing, but you must also be able to really listen in order to understand and address the requirements and concerns of your customers.
As an integral member of the sales team, you will need to know how to handle multiple appointments with different presentation requirements and be adept at managing your time.
