About The Opportunity

The Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) Administration Officer is a key role in supporting the VAD Central Support Service (CSS) that operates Monday to Friday.

The role will provide a range of high quality confidential administrative and clerical support. We offer flexibility of hours over 3-4 days during business hours. VAD CSS sits within a dynamic team of the Clinical Governance Unit at SWSLHD.


What You'll be Doing

Provide a range of high quality confidential administrative and clerical support services to enable the SWSLHD Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) Service to achieve its objectives in a timely, reliable, and efficient manner.

  • Relevant administrative qualifications and/or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working in work environments involving issues that may be distressing or sensitive for patients and staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and initiate action.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within and across diverse work teams to support effective coordination of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise own work, taking into account the impact on others to achieve results to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated applied ability to use a wide range of computer hardware, software and electronic systems to complete work activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret client/customer needs and is sensitive to the differences in the needs of individuals.
