We have an opportunity for a talented and passionate
Project Controller to partner with our project managers and play a critical role in the successful delivery of significant infrastructure projects.

You'll be part of a deeply experienced, multi-disciplinary and based in either Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.


ABOUT THE ROLE


As a critical member of the team, you will collaborate with project managers to support in the delivery of infrastructure projects across Australia ensuring projects are delivered to budget and client expectations.


YOUR IMPACT

  • Cost control, budgeting and cash flow maintenance. Administering projects in Dynamics36
  • Provide monthly project reporting, including budgets, forecasts and cost to complete.
  • Provide financial input to project change requests, and update budgets and forecasts once approved.
  • Review subconsultant and external/internal invoices for accuracy and recommend for payment.
  • Prepare monthly invoicing and forecasting.
  • Support relationships with subcontractors, our clients and people on project control related activities.
  • Monitor receipt of Purchase Orders and update projects with details.
  • Create an Invoice Summary Sheet if required.

ABOUT YOU

You love to roll up your sleeves and get stuff done, you work well under pressure and to tight deadlines without compromising the quality of your work.

You're unquestionably a people person with exceptional interpersonal skills which assist you to negotiate tricky situations while you build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.


You will also have:

  • Three years' experience in a project or financial controller role for a consulting firm or similar
  • Proven ability to manage complex project budgets, including cost control, variation management and procurement.
  • Proven track record in preparing forecasts and invoices for major projects or businesses.
  • High quality reportwriting abilities and a passion to shape planning outcomes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 is well regarded, however on the job training is available.
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
  • Demonstrated experience managing portfolios of up to $50M.
  • Understanding of procurement, invoicing, cost control and forecasting
  • Ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes as required
