This role is an exciting opportunity to work within our Agile Portfolio Management team. Our portfolio includes over 400 projects valued at over $700 million.

Our mission is to become a trusted customer centric service provider, enabling agencies to deliver personalised digital experiences to NSW and this vacancy will provide a pivotal role in achieving this.

Your responsibilities will include:


  • Provide a range of project management and support services, ensuring project and administration activities.
  • Provide advice and support to project managers and program managers on governance, administration, and reporting.
  • Manage the project/program support for large programs or portfolios that have 10 to 25 projects actively running.
  • Coordinate and complete reporting for Steering Committee reports, program reports, project reports and other reports as required.
  • Support large program procurement activities and produce procurement documentation.
  • Develop and maintain customer, stakeholders and vendor relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate working groups, committees, and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans

About you:


  • Experience in a project portfolio, program, or project management team as a team member, who was responsible for supporting governance, reporting and multiple ongoing project approvals.
  • Ability to balance competing demands to ensure that project objectives are achieved.
  • Experience in meeting day to day project activities while identifying risks, issues and assessing the impact of action options for resolution.
  • Experience and knowledge of project and program delivery methods, include agile, waterfall and hybrid.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple work assignments and prioritising workload.
  • Data reporting skills, able to analyse the data in Excel, and other tools, find trends and make recommendations.
  • Experience in agile ways of working (highly desirable).
  • Relevant qualification in project management related field (desirable).
  • Prior knowledge of government processes, governance and whole of NSW government project approval and delivery frameworks will be (highly regarded but not essential).
  • Experience using SAP or other ERP financial system (desirable).
  • Experience using a records management database such as TRIM (desirable).
