- $90,000 - $110,000 per year

About the Role


As a consultant, you will work with the client to understand their operations and processes, analyse their data, prepare it for modelling and then identify trends and anomalies with a view to creating an accurate summary of their operations.

You will also need to conduct domain-specific modelling to solve the clients' problems - which could be identifying the optimal distribution centre or supply chain solution.

You will also work with initiatives to use Machine Learning and Optimisation to create smarter models, tools and solutions for customers.

You will also be required to liaise with other team members and provide analytical support or data when required.


You may, in addition, be required from time to time to undertake the duties or responsibilities of another position, although you will not be required to perform duties that are not reasonably within your capabilities.


The primary role of a Consultant will be to work as part of a team, engaged with clients to work on business improvement projects.

This is done through using a combination of our company toolkit, creative thinking, and good business practice.


We are looking for people who love solving problems, simplify the complex and get excited about transformation, manufacturing, engineering, logistics and supply chain planning.

You will be comfortable with working with people from the shop-floor to boardrooms levels of any organisation.


Responsibilities:


  • Delivering operational improvement projects on client sites through the use of a Project Management Office (PMO) or Transformation Office (TO)
  • Analysing data, diagnostics of processes and presenting solutions to clients
  • Leading and implementing the changes required by winning 'hearts and minds' within the business
  • Work facetoface with clients owning transformational initiatives
  • Work with team of talented colleagues who are supportive and make work fun
  • The position will be based in our Sydney office
To be successful in this role you will have relevant qualifications and/or experience in engineering or supply chain management.

You will also have specific skills in python programming, data visualisation using Power BI, machine learning and optimisation, knowledge of warehousing and/or supply chain, and data-driven problem solving skills.

You must also have the ability to set realistic deadlines, complete work, and persuade others to complete work, on time.

Ideally you will have experience working in manufacturing and supply chain environments or at least one of planning, logistics, procurement, engineering, manufacturing or project management.


  • Degree in Engineering, Business Studies, Economics, Sciences, or another numerate / analytical degree
  • Methodical and structured approach to achieving objectives, with experience in project management an advantage
  • Entrepreneurial flair and have strong analytical capability
  • Ambitious career plans, willingness to constantly learn
  • Passionate, outgoing personality
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to communicate to all levels of stakeholder
  • Can manage large amount of data, advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, Power point, etc. Competency in BI tools is an advantage
  • This role requires a willing to travel (across Australia and New Zealand)
