Opportunity


Great long term federal contracts with initial 12 months on offer and a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 from home).

Convenient Richmond or Geelong location with access to train and trams. This is an hourly rate contract paying $ Super.


Team
The Strategy Branch is part of the CEO's Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

This position will see you engage directly with the Branch Manager and Director of Strategy, the leadership team and other Agency Executives to deliver critical projects that have strategic importance and deliver better outcomes to Participants.

It's responsible for analysing and addressing critical issues.


Reporting into the Director, the purpose of this position is to contribute to strategy development, prioritization, and operational projects through analysis and insights development.

You'll communicate strategic decisions that drive benefits for Participants and families.


Duties

Solve Agency problems that matter - work in cross-functional teams to scope Agency problems, structure issues, conduct analyses, create insight, and communicate findings leading to action

Collaborate to provide strategic insight - work with a range of internal stakeholders to shape and improve recommendations on a wide range of Agency issues

Engage with Branch Leadership - work closely with Directors and Strategy Branch manager to contribute to structuring problems and shaping recommendations

Develop unique insights
  • Develop fact based quantitative and qualitative analysis to support recommendations

Write compelling communications - lead creation of materials for the Minister, Board and Executive Leadership Team to communicate perspectives, recommendations and implications for the Agency


Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of two years in strategy development
  • Experience contributing to strategic projects that deliver insightful and actionable recommendations
  • Experience working in complex crossfunctional teams
  • Emotional intelligence in working with stakeholders
  • Willing to get your hands dirty where required
  • Experience of living with disability desirable
  • Please note, Australian Citizenship is mandatory for this Commonwealth government client.
