Job summary


Our Salix team is seeking someone to embrace a rewarding new challenge as a Marketing Coordinator in a leading rail products supply company.

We're looking for a Marketing Coordinator/Advisor to join the incredible Salix Products. our Marketing and Communication team.

This is a perfect role for those who thrive in a vibrant and successful environment and want to be a part of a fun and collaborative team.


You will work directly with the Head of Marketing and Communications and General Manager to collaborate with the wider team to enhance our marketing presence across various channels, both internal and external.

In this role, you will get the opportunity to work across:

  • Various internal and external campaigns, including our new green sustainability range of rail products
  • Developing and maintaining our short and long term marketing strategies to engage with current and potential clients leading to better engagement
  • Work with the team to create compelling content across our social media, website, and other channels
  • Producing marketing and communications collateral
  • Coordinate and supervise video and photography shoots
  • Digital and offline assets for use across all marketing channels
  • Coordinate and deliver marketing events

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Support the Marketing and Communications strategy through the delivery of creative content that aligns with our strategic goals and objectives.
  • Write and design promotional material for newsletters, website, brochure, EDM's and presentations that augment the company's presence in the market.
  • Develop and foster highvalue partnerships through engaging with key internal stakeholders, liaising with external suppliers and contractors
  • The development marketing strategies and the management team
  • Day to day ownership of all marketing assets including website, printed collateral, signage, and display presentation
  • Management of marketing material and collateral including range booklets, display brochures, corporate collateral, promotional materials, and merchandise
  • Event coordination

Skills and experience you'll bring to the role

  • Excellent communication skills, especially strong creative abilities for curating, proofing, and editing consumerfacing material.
  • Proficiency in business copywriting and the skills needed to create visual content including newsletters, website, brochure collateral and advertising.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills are essential; ability to create rapport and empathy towards inspiring a positive culture.
  • Hold a Drivers Licence.

Experience

  • At least 5 years' experience in Marketing in a similar position
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to write efficiently, creatively, clearly, concisely, and accurately
  • High level verbal communication and interpersonal skills, in order to develop positive relationships within and outside the organisation
  • Advanced Computer literacy including MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM and web content management systems
  • Understanding of marketing/communications principles and practices as well as communication platforms; including online, digital and print
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing tasks and priorities
  • Innovative, creative and a strategic thinking, with an understanding of how marketing and communications drives engagement and sales
  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred
