The Role

The 109th Signal Squadron, 8th Signal Regiment APS 3 Logistics Officer will be required to consolidate and share logistics and governance information, monitor work practices, set and execute work priorities and enable the development of local procedures.

They will support the leadership of a diverse workforce, providing coaching and supporting on-the-job training for newer and less experienced team members.


These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the management of governance duties on logistics inventory management in accordance with the Electronic Supply Chain Manual.
  • Coordinate logistics inventory management through the use of information management systems and responding to inventory requests.
  • Compose responses to correspondence, briefs and reporting on logistics inventory management.
  • Support governance tasks including audits, reports and returns.
  • Listen to internal and external stakeholders and respond under limited direction to changes in stakeholder needs and expectations to achieve outcomes.

About our Team

Located in Perth, the 109th Signal Squadron is part of the 8th Signal Regiment which is the National Signal Regiment with the Headquarters located at Randwick in Sydney.

The 109th Signal Squadron is one of five detached Squadrons, which are located around the country. The Regiment has over 500 reservists and 46 permanent staff.

  • Being capable of working with a wide variety of ADF personnel and stakeholders.
  • Have the ability manage the priorities and needs of the ADF personnel to meet and exceed their expectations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and with influence.
  • The ability to work in a fluid environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable.
  • A good level of computer literacy including with logistics and administrative systems.
