Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop merchandising strategies that align with company's objectives
  • Set seasonal Category budgets and work closely with buying/design team at each stage of the planning process
  • Develop Option plans to support the buying process
  • Trade the department on a weekly basis looking at deliveries, performance of stock and make relevant actions
  • Suggest and develop new ways of working within the current structure to improve in season trading and reporting
  • Identify risks and opportunities and work with a cross functional team to develop strategies that optimise the business
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in merchandise planning, OTB management and inventory management
  • MSSI Management
  • Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs etc.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years proven experience in a retail planning role
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to use planning systems effectively
  • Experience working in a fast paced, multichannel, multibrand environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Data driven decision making skills
  • Ability to collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices, and develop systems knowledge
