Key Responsibilities
- Plan and develop merchandising strategies that align with company's objectives
- Set seasonal Category budgets and work closely with buying/design team at each stage of the planning process
- Develop Option plans to support the buying process
- Trade the department on a weekly basis looking at deliveries, performance of stock and make relevant actions
- Suggest and develop new ways of working within the current structure to improve in season trading and reporting
- Identify risks and opportunities and work with a cross functional team to develop strategies that optimise the business
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in merchandise planning, OTB management and inventory management
- MSSI Management
- Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs etc.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years proven experience in a retail planning role
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to use planning systems effectively
- Experience working in a fast paced, multichannel, multibrand environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Strong analytical skills
- Data driven decision making skills
- Ability to collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best practices, and develop systems knowledge
